July 10, 2020,

Time is of the essence so let me get straight to the point.

The Republican Primary Runoff elections are taking place next Tuesday (July 14th).

Texas Gun Rights is working hard to get candidates on the record in support of your gun rights across the state.

But in Texas House District 47, a so-called “Republican” candidate has doubled down on his refusal to take a public stance against radical Bloomberg-backed gun control by not returning his TXGR Candidate Survey.

This is a straightforward candidate survey that asks simple questions about the views of politicians on specific gun rights issues.

In a primary, these questions are a chip-shot for any Republican that claims to be “pro-gun.”

But too often politicians like to fly under the radar and let you find out where the stand on the Second Amendment AFTER they get elected to office.

This appears to be the case with Republican candidate for House District 47, Justin Berry.

Sadly, I can’t say I’m surprised. Let me you fill you in:

In 2019, Justin Berry testified alongside Bloomberg-funded gun control activists in the Texas Legislature to support gun control House Bill 95.1

If passed, HB 95 would’ve required law enforcement to investigate anyone denied the purchase of a firearm for failing the Brady-NICS background check.

But if you’ve paid attention to my recent emails, countless law-abiding gun owners are being wrongfully denied by this flawed system for simply having the same name, or similar name, as a criminal.

According to a 2009 study by John Lott of the Crime Research Prevention Center, 94% of all NICS background check denials were law-abiding citizens wrongly denied their right to purchase a firearm.

Unfortunately, Justin Berry’s anti-gun actions didn’t end in 2019.

You see, Justin Berry has been flat-out refusing to oppose Bloomberg’s radical gun control for the past seven months!2

Instead, he lashed out by threatening legal action to silence TXGR and our members for encouraging him to return a simple gun rights survey...

His outlandish attacks are without merit and show either malicious intent or ignorance of the law.

Put another way, Justin Berry is trying to shred your First Amendment rights in order to hide his views on the Second Amendment.

I’m very worried that’s a sign Justin Berry may be hiding support for anti-gun measures like “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation and “Universal Gun Registration.”

After all, why wouldn’t a Republican want to go strongly on the record in support of the Second Amendment, unless they are trying to hide something...

The problem is Republicans across the country are starting to throw their support behind dangerous California-style gun controls like I mentioned above.

With Texas being a TOP target for anti-gun Democrats in November, the last thing we need are more politicians in Austin who REFUSE to stand strong for our Second Amendment rights, or may be hiding anti-gun views from you!

Worse, Berry is not only refusing to return our survey, he is proudly boasting about not returning it on Facebook.3

Instead, he is hiding behind his bloated rating from the establishment gun lobby and using their tone-deaf “action alerts” to give him cover.

But don’t let that fool you.

After all, 67 NRA “A-Rated” politicians voted for the largest gun control package in Florida history following the Parkland tragedy in 2018...

That’s why the Texas Gun Rights Candidate Survey is so important.

It’s a 10 question survey that puts candidates on the record with very specific questions on gun policy.

Because anyone can claim to be “pro-gun” while campaigning to earn your vote, but without answering the tough questions, they almost always have exceptions they won’t share.

After all, even the gun control zealots who testified along Justin Berry call their Second Amendment-shredding policies “common sense.”

So if you live in House District 47, please call Justin Berry at (512) 965-9858 and tell him to reverse course and start standing up for the Second Amendment!

2020 is a critical election year, so your activism will show your candidates you expect nothing less than a pro-gun representative.

With your help, we will be able to get more candidates on record in support of your gun rights before they get elected, or re-elected.

That way, no matter who wins the election, you will be well-represented in Austin.

But with Texas being such a large state, this takes a lot of resources. House District 47 is only one of 5 districts across the state we are working hard to expose anti-gun candidates in and to identify pro-gun patriots!

So after you call Justin Berry, I hope you’ll make your most generous contribution of $100 or $50 today.

As you know, Texas is a top target for the Gun Control Lobby in 2020, so I need pro-gun Texans to help us battle against Bloomberg’s millions.

Your contribution allow me to continue holding your politicians accountable -- and report their actions back to you!

But if $100 or $50 is simply too much, please consider a most generous contributions of $25 today.

The clocking is ticking, so please act right away!
