Joe Biden, a career politician with over 50 years of experience in D.C., will be ending his extensive government vocation in complete disgrace. As one of the most radically unpopular chief executives in American history, he was seen as so harmfully disadvantageous to his own party that they forced him out of re-election. His disastrous presidential record no doubt served as a significant contribution to the embarrassing performance of his Vice President, Kamala Harris, in her bid for the White House. The consequences of his rule, which has led to tremendous suffering for the American people, will likely reverberate in a manner that influences future elections for decades to come, reminding Americans of their total disdain for left-wing leadership.
In these last lame-duck weeks before his retirement, Biden has made an expected move that will further solidify his image as a self-serving, hypocritical, lying tyrant: pardoning his son, Hunter. The First Son, who has perhaps served as an even greater embarrassment to the Oval Office than the President himself, was found guilty earlier this year on federal charges related to both tax evasion and gun crimes. Specifically, Hunter Biden lied on a federal background check form regarding his drug addiction and illegally possessed a firearm while addicted to illicit substances. His sentencing hearings, which were originally scheduled for December 12th and 16th, will heretofore be avoided thanks to the nepotistic benefits of his dad being the president.
In addition to the charges Hunter Biden has been convicted of, his laptop, which was dispelled as “Russian Propaganda,” by the mainstream media and intelligence agencies during the 2020 election, revealed extensive drug use and regular solicitation of prostitution. Moreover, email correspondents between Hunter and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma regarding quid-pro-quos and payments for “The Big Guy,” have led to speculation of widespread corruption by the Biden family. Luckily for Hunter, he has been conveniently pardoned for any crimes committed since 2014, the same year he joined the board at Burisma and made a significant fortune in the undeserved position.
Hunter’s preemptive pardon comes after months of the President insisting that he would not pardon his son under any circumstances. Joe Biden repeatedly emphasized that “no one is above the law,” and promised to abstain from interfering in the prosecution of his son. Bold faced lies are, of course, nothing new for Biden, and no one should necessarily be surprised that he would exonerate his son of obvious wrongdoing with the power he still possesses. Most fathers in such a position would make the exact same move, especially on their way out the door.
Despite the relatable nature of his actions, Joe Biden’s pardon of his son is no less reprehensible, especially when taking into account that some of his crimes included gun-related charges. Biden has spent his entire career persecuting gun owners and working to place restrictions on the Second Amendment at every turn. Throughout his single four-year term, Biden passed numerous bills that restricted gun rights and further emboldened bureaucratic institutions like the ATF to harass and tyrannize law-abiding gun owners across the country. No president in American history has delegitimized the sanctity of American’s God-given right to bear arms more than Joe Biden.
As is always the case with authoritarian tyrants, they live by an age-old adage of “rules for thee but not for me!” In this case, it could be more accurately stated “rules for thee but not for my drug-addicted son.” Is it at all likely that any of the thousands of Americans who have been oppressed by Biden’s tyrannical gun policy will be pardoned before he exits the White House? No sane individual would bet on such an outcome. Hunter’s pardoning puts Joe Biden’s hypocrisy on full display like never before, and the American people should be outraged by the sheer audacity of this wanna-be autocrat and all of his fellow Democrat sycophants.
A few stand out questions remain following this ordeal: why did Joe Biden wait so long to pardon his son? What was the point of the facade he wore to express himself as a bastion of justice? One likely hypothesis is that the prosecution of Hunter Biden helped to legitimize the overt political persecution of Donald Trump. With the Biden Administration so obviously weaponizing the Justice Department against their political opponents, the fact that the President’s own son was also being scrutinized leant validity to their flagrant witch hunts against Trump. If and when the persecution failed, Biden could drop his mask and pardon his son with no harm done.
Alternatively, perhaps Joe Biden really was intent on letting his son take the fall for minor tax and gun crimes, which he likely never would have faced jail time for as a first offender. However, with Donald Trump soon to reclaim the presidency and install anti-establishment loyalists like Kash Patel in prominent governmental positions, the pressure on Biden could have heightened to a breaking point. Fears of investigation into corruption and Hunter’s self-aggrandizing business dealings in Ukraine and China may have pushed Biden to preemptively pardon his son. After all, what else would be the reason for such an unprecedented style of presidential pardon, which exonerates one of crimes yet to even be discovered?
Unfortunately, motivational speculation does nothing to stop what has already been said and done. Despite Hunter’s pardoning, investigations and declassifications will ideally still be conducted during Trump’s second term, exposing the true corruption of high-ranking, left-wing politicians that further harm gun-grabbers in their bids for power. At the very least, the pardon has tarnished Joe Biden’s reputation and proved that he has always served himself before the American people.
This arguably abusive use of the Presidential Pardon also opens the floodgates for Trump in his second term. He will be free to pardon at will and should be encouraged to use his presidential powers for the benefit of gun owners who have been so unjustly persecuted by the Radical Left. He has already announced plans to pardon numerous January 6th attendees, who have been extensively criminalized for protesting tyrannical governance. Trump should subsequently extend full pardons to those whose rights have been trampled by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and the over-emboldened ATF.
Trump has campaigned with more positive messaging towards Second Amendment rights than ever before. He has repeatedly emphasized the necessity of self-defense for the American people and highlighted the importance of the right to bear arms. He has promised to enact concealed carry reciprocity nationwide and dismantle the entrenched bureaucracy in D.C., including the ATF. It is up to American gun owners to hold Trump accountable and push him to protect and expand the Second Amendment throughout his upcoming term.
