The murder of Charlie Kirk should be a wake-up call for America.
Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old radical, reportedly carved “Hey fascist! Catch!” into his .30-06 ammunition before opening fire.
He wasn’t just squeezing a trigger — he was acting out a script the American Left has been preaching for years: that conservatives are “fascists” who must be silenced at any cost.
And just two weeks later, the rhetoric spilled over again.
In Dallas, a rooftop sniper opened fire on an ICE field office, killing one detainee and wounding two others. Shell casings left behind carried the same message of hatred — engraved with the words “ANTI-ICE”.
Back-to-back shootings. Both tied to the same culture of demonization. Both fueled by the Left’s willingness to dehumanize its political opponents.
Words Have Consequences
When Democrats and their media allies casually smear conservatives as “Nazis” or “threats to democracy,” they light the fuse. They pretend it’s harmless rhetoric — but words matter.
And since 2017, America has seen a wave of politically motivated violence, much of it coming from the Left.
From Antifa assassins to transgender school shooters to repeated assassination attempts on President Trump, the evidence is overwhelming.
The Growing Timeline of Political Violence
2017 — Congressional Baseball Shooting (VA): Bernie Sanders supporter James Hodgkinson opened fire on Republicans during practice. Rep. Steve Scalise nearly died, and two Capitol Police officers were shot.
2019 — STEM School Highlands Ranch (CO): A 16-year-old transgender student, with an accomplice, killed one and wounded eight more in a suburban classroom.
2020 — Portland Antifa Killing (OR): “100% Antifa” activist Michael Reinoehl murdered Aaron “Jay” Danielson in cold blood.
2020 — George Floyd Riots: The Left’s summer of rage — 574 violent riots, $1–2 billion in damages, dozens killed, and entire neighborhoods reduced to ash.
2020 — Portland Federal Courthouse Attacks (OR): Night after night, Antifa and BLM rioters hurled Molotov cocktails and commercial fireworks at federal officers defending the courthouse — an actual insurrection against federal authority.
2021 — Waukesha Parade Attack (WI): Darrell Brooks, a BLM sympathizer, drove through a Christmas parade, killing six and injuring dozens. The press memory-holed it because it didn’t fit their narrative.
2022 — Colorado Springs Club Q (CO): Five killed, more than a dozen injured. Attorneys said the suspect identified as “nonbinary” in court filings.
2022 — Kavanaugh Assassination Plot: A man armed with a pistol, knife, and burglary tools was arrested outside Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home after telling police he intended to kill him over Roe v. Wade.
2023 — Nashville Covenant School (TN): A transgender shooter slaughtered six, including three children, in a Christian school.
2024 — Trump Rally (PA): A rooftop sniper opened fire, killing one bystander, wounding two others, and grazing President Trump’s ear.
2024 — Trump Golf Course (FL): Ryan Wesley Routh camped in the trees with a rifle, waiting to kill Trump. Convicted in 2025, he tried to slit his own throat in court after the guilty verdict.
2025 — Minnesota Lawmaker Assassinations (MN): Vance Luther Boelter gunned down former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and wounded State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife. Authorities called it politically motivated — the first major case of right-wing violence in years.
2025 — Minneapolis Catholic School Massacre (MN): Robin Westman, a 23-year-old transgender shooter, opened fire during morning prayer, killing two children and wounding seventeen. His rifle bore the words “Kill Trump Now”.
2025 — Charlie Kirk Assassination (UT): On September 10, Charlie Kirk was gunned down during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox read Robinson’s bullet engravings at a press conference.
2025 — Dallas ICE Shooting (TX): Just two weeks later, an ICE field office was sprayed with bullets. One detainee was killed, two others wounded. Casings read “ANTI-ICE” .
Rare, But Deadly and Corrosive
Policy analyst Alex Nowrasteh notes that only 79 people have been murdered in politically motivated terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since 2020 — a mere 0.07 percent of all murders during that time.
But tell that to Charlie Kirk’s wife and children. Tell that to the parents of two dead schoolchildren in Minneapolis. Tell that to the ICE agents shot in Dallas.
Rare or not, these killings are corrosive because they are tolerated, excused, or even celebrated when the victims are conservatives.
January 6 vs. the George Floyd Riots
The Left loves to clutch its pearls over January 6, calling it the “worst attack since 9/11.” About 1,400 people were charged, many for little more than trespassing.
Yes, some fought the police. But hundreds more simply walked through doors Capitol Police had already opened.
Compare that to the George Floyd riots of 2020:
- 574 violent incidents
- $1–2 billion in damages
- Dozens dead
Yet the Left called the riots “justice.”
A Tale of Two Reactions
After Floyd’s death, mobs torched cities. Politicians knelt in solidarity. Billions in damages were written off as “progress.”
After Kirk’s death, Americans lit candles. Stadiums filled for vigils. Friends and strangers alike gathered to celebrate Kirk’s life and his mission to promote dialogue.
The difference is undeniable: Left-wing violence gets excused, even celebrated. Conservative victims are mocked.
Dehumanizing Language Leads to Bloodshed
It’s no accident Robinson scrawled “Hey fascist!” on his bullets. For years, Democrats and media figures have called conservatives “Nazis” and “fascists.”
Psychologists call this dehumanization — stripping away humanity until violence feels justified.
Once you convince people their opponents are “Hitler,” assassination becomes “resistance.”
And here’s the kicker: the same Left fueling this violence demands gun control. They want law-abiding Americans disarmed while radicals take up arms in the streets.
How the Left Exploited Gabby Giffords
Democrats point back to the 2011 shooting of Rep. Gabby Giffords. Six were killed, and Giffords was gravely wounded.
But the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, had no political ties — only schizophrenia and anti-government paranoia.
Yet the Left twisted her tragedy into a rallying cry for gun confiscation. And they still use her name today to justify disarming peaceful citizens.
The Real Cost of Silence
The pattern is clear:
- Leftist rhetoric stokes outrage.
- Violence erupts.
- The media downplays it.
- Calls for more gun control commence.
Every time, the cycle repeats.
From Gabby Giffords to Minneapolis to Kirk, they never waste a crisis.
And every new gun law leaves law-abiding Americans less able to defend themselves when the next radical takes aim.
A Call for Accountability
We can’t ignore this anymore. Both sides are not equally guilty. The body count says otherwise.
The media must be held accountable for normalizing the “fascist” label. Politicians must denounce violence no matter the victim.
And above all, the Second Amendment must be defended. Because when political violence escalates, the right of self-defense becomes more vital, not less.
Charlie Kirk once said:
“When people stop talking, really bad stuff starts. When civilizations stop talking, civil war ensues. When you stop having a human connection with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to want to commit violence against that group.”
His words have never rung louder.
The Second Amendment Protects All Right
The hypocrisy is staggering: the same Left that uses guns to make political points then turns around and pushes “gun grabs” on law-abiding Americans.
If America wants to stop the violence, it must expose the lies, hold extremists accountable, and defend the rights of peaceful gun owners.
Because anything less isn’t “justice.” It’s political theater — at the expense of lives and liberty.
And if you’re sick of watching leftists fuel violence while scheming to disarm law-abiding Americans, then stand with Texas Gun Rights.
Chip in today to Texas Gun Rights and help us defend the Second Amendment without compromise — because the Second Amendment is the shield that protects every one of our God-given rights.
