Anti-gun Royce West running for U.S. Senate

Dallas-area State Senator Royce West threw his hat in the ring last week to become Texas’ Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate in 2020.
If successful, he will challenge Republican incumbent U.S. Senator John Cornyn in the general election.
As I’m sure you’ll recall, John Cornyn is the Republican who stabbed gun owners in the back with his 2018 sponsorship of Dianne Feinstein’s “FIX-NICS” gun control bill.
Even though Cornyn’s standalone bill wasn’t voted on — a version of it was slipped into a massive omnibus spending bill, stripping hundreds of thousands of Americans of their due process.
Thanks to Cornyn’s lack of leadership on gun rights, the anti-gun Left smells blood in the water.
And it’s giving Democrats a very dangerous platform to run on…they believe supporting gun control is now a winning issue in Texas!
In fact, Royce West is touting his record of supporting expanded Brady checks and bans on commonly-owned firearms in the State Senate as a reason he should win the nomination for his party.
On his campaign website, he also criticizes lawmakers in D.C. for failing to pass even more gun control.
Which proves that no matter how hard Republicans like John Cornyn try to “compromise” on our gun rights, it will never be enough.
After all, their ultimate goal is to ban ALL firearms.
That’s exactly why Texas Gun Rights’ motto is NO COMPROMISE!
And it’s clear Senator West is angling for fat campaign checks from the gun control lobby with his promises to push their agenda.
With a perfect storm, Royce West could become one more anti-gun vote to ram gun control through the U.S. Senate.
Even worse, the slew of Democrats running for President are making gun control a TOP priority in 2020.
In fact, Nancy Pelosi is declaring Texas’ suburbs as ground zero for 2020.
After George Soros and company successfully flipped a dozen “red” legislative districts in 2018, they’re making an even bigger push in 2020.
Only this time, they’re banking on high turnout for anti-gun candidates at the top of the ticket — giving them a boost on down-ballot races.
So with Royce West seeking his party’s blessing for one of the highest spots on the ballot, it appears the Democrats are building the machine needed to turn Texas blue overnight.
They know that if they “Turn Texas blue, the White House will follow.”
In fact, that is the slogan for the Texas Democratic Party in Texas going into 2020.
