Constitutional Carry victory in Texas?!

May 21, 2021

We’re almost to the finish line.

After weeks of pressuring Lt. Gov. Patrick and the Senate to pass Constitutional Carry, the Conference Committee reportedly struck a deal to get HB 1927 to the Governor’s desk!

While we don’t yet know the final language of HB 1927, Capitol insiders report that it is better than passed by the Senate.

And it appears that a strong Constitutional Carry bill will be sent to Governor Abbott.

Here’s what bill author Rep. Matt Schaefer had to say:

This is certainly great news, but we must not celebrate yet.

Early next week, both chambers of the legislature are expected to vote to approve the committee report.

While this is mostly a technical procedure, we must not count our chickens before they hatch.

So I’m hoping I can count on your continued activism.

Please call your elected officials below and encourage them to take quick action on HB 1927!

Governor Greg Abbott: (512) 463-2000

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick: (512) 463-0001

Speaker Dade Phelan: (512) 463-1000

Your message can be as simple as: “Please pass HB 1927 and make Texas the 21st Constitutional Carry state without further delay!”

Texas Gun Rights members and supporters like you have been leading the charge for Constitutional Carry in Texas for nearly a decade.

After spending over a million dollars mobilizing pro-gun Texans through mail, email, phone calls, text messages, digital ads, and even TV ads, it appears the Republican Establishment now agrees they can no longer pay the political price of killing Constitutional Carry in Texas.

No matter what Lt. Gov. Patrick or the political establishment tries to say, YOU were the key to making this happen.

After the political elites put up roadblock after roadblock, year after year, it was YOUR activism that finally made their walls come crashing down.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support.
