Stop Biden's Radical Agenda! | Sign No red Flag Gun Confiscation

Colin Allred Enters 2026 Senate Race With Gun Control Agenda in Tow

In a move that should set off alarm bells for gun owners across Texas, Democrat U.S. Representative Colin Allred has officially launched his campaign for U.S. Senate in 2026 — bringing with him one of the most radical anti-gun records of any Texas politician in Washington.

Allred, a former NFL player turned Beltway bureaucrat, has spent his time in Congress voting to shred the Second Amendment and turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals. From supporting red flag gun confiscation laws to backing bans on commonly owned rifles and magazines, Allred has made it clear: he doesn’t trust you with your guns.

Voting Against the Constitution

Allred’s anti-gun resume reads like a wish list from Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety.

In 2022, he voted for the so-called “Assault Weapons Ban,” a sweeping proposal to outlaw AR-15s and other popular semi-automatic firearms — the very firearms most commonly used for home defense and sport shooting across the country.

That same year, he helped pass the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” a Trojan horse gun control bill negotiated by none other than RINO Senator John Cornyn.

But before that, in 2021, Allred backed a federal red flag law — the “Extreme Risk Protection Order Act” — which empowers government bureaucrats to confiscate firearms without due process. No crime. No trial. No conviction. Just a judge’s signature and your guns are gone.

And if there were any doubt about his views on the Second Amendment, Allred erased it in a 2018 town hall where he said:

“Would it be better had [the Second Amendment] not been written? Of course.”

That’s not a misstatement. That’s a worldview.

Democrats Double Down on Gun Control

Allred’s announcement comes as the Democrat Party continues its hard-left lurch on guns, pushing candidates who parrot the D.C. gun control narrative even in states like Texas, where firearm ownership is woven into the fabric of everyday life.

While rural Texans are teaching their children to hunt, shoot, and respect the value of self-reliance, Allred is lining up with Biden, Bloomberg, and Beto O’Rourke to tear down the very freedoms Texans cherish.

It’s no wonder anti-gun groups like Giffords and Everytown are already rallying around Allred’s campaign. They see him as a key vote to advance their national agenda of bans, registries, and confiscation.

A Call to Action for Gun Owners

Gun owners cannot afford to ignore Allred’s run.

If elected to the U.S. Senate, he would cast votes on federal gun control legislation, judicial nominations, and key appointments that affect gun rights nationwide.

Texas Gun Rights President Chris McNutt warned:

“Colin Allred has proven time and again that he doesn’t respect the Constitution — and certainly not the right to keep and bear arms. His entry into the Senate race is a direct threat to gun owners, and we must treat it as such.”

The 2026 election is shaping up to be a critical battle for the future of the Second Amendment in Texas and beyond. And with candidates like Allred in the race, it’s clear the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Gun owners, take notice. The fight is coming.
