With Collin Allred slinking out of the U.S. Senate race, Democrats have cleared the lane for two gun-grabbing extremists: Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico — two politicians cut from the same anti-freedom cloth, even if they package their assaults on the Second Amendment differently.
Crockett is the fire-breathing progressive who wears her contempt for anything remotely conservative on her sleeve.
But Talarico is the more dangerous of the two.
Where Crockett charges with a megaphone, Talarico slithers with a soft tone, a rehearsed smile, and a Bible quote he probably scribbled in the margins of the Communist Manifesto he stuffed inside his empty book cover.
He plays the “reasonable” gun control advocate — the type who thinks disarming you is an act of Christian charity.
Make no mistake: there is nothing “reasonable” about an agenda built on taking firearms away from peace-loving Texans. And no amount of scripture-twisting can sanctify tyranny.
Together, Crockett and Talarico are trying to position themselves as the Zohran Mamdani of Texas — radical leftists who imagine Texas as their playground for New York-style socialism and gun control.
They’re desperate.
But they’re the same poison.
Meanwhile… Republicans Have Their Own Problem
If the Democrat field wasn’t bad enough, incumbent Senator John Cornyn is no savior for gun owners either.
Cornyn helped Joe Biden ram through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the most sweeping federal gun control package in decades.
He paved the way for “Red flag” gun confiscation laws, ATF crackdowns, expanded gun-owner registries, and emboldened exactly the kind of bureaucratic harassment Texans are now facing.
Cornyn has spent years treating Texas gun owners as expendable bargaining chips — and we haven’t forgotten it.
But here’s the good news: this time, Texans actually have a choice.
For the first time in a generation, not one but two viable, credible challengers are stepping forward who have publicly pledged unwavering support for the Second Amendment: AG Ken Paxton, who was endorsed by Texas Gun Rights PAC, and Congressman Wesley Hunt, who returned his Texas Gun Rights candidate survey 100% pro-gun.
They’re both promising no more compromises, no more back-room deals, no more selling out gun owners to curry favor with the D.C. establishment.
Gun owners finally have the opportunity to put a true pro-gun champion on the ballot — and send a message that Texas voters refuse to tolerate anti-gun Republicans or Democrats.
Texas Gun Rights Is Going All Out
2026 isn’t just another election year. It’s a political battlefield — and Texas Gun Rights is mobilizing like never before.
TXGR is exposing every gun grabber running for office, from school board to Congress.
Anyone who supports gun control — Crockett, Talarico, Cornyn, or any other wannabe tyrant — is going to hear from the largest and most energized gun-owner grassroots army in the state.
And for the first time ever, TXGR is rolling out its “One Big Beautiful Ballot.”
That’s the slate of candidates who have returned the Texas Gun Rights Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun — a public, no-compromise commitment to stand tall against every single gun control bill that crosses their desk.
No weasel words. No hedging. No “common-sense gun safety” euphemisms. No “I support the Second Amendment but” statements followed by disqualifiers.
Just cold, hard, Texas-sized support for your right to keep and bear arms.
This ballot will make it crystal clear who stands with gun owners — and who stands with Bloomberg, Soros and Mamdani.
And in 2026, gun owners are going to vote accordingly.
As Texas Gun Rights President Chris McNutt put it: “Anyone—Democrat or Republican—who thinks they can run for office in Texas while supporting a gun confiscation agenda is about to get the political fight of their life. We’re done with sellouts. We’re done with excuses. And in 2026, we’re taking our state back — without compromise.”
