Gun control vote scheduled for tomorrow!

I need your immediate action, so let me get straight to the point.
Gun control is scheduled for a vote in the Texas House of Representatives as early as TOMORROW, May 8th.
So please call the Capitol Switchboard at (512) 463-4630 and urge your State Representative to vote AGAINST HB 545.

Your message can be as simple as:

House Bill 545 is more extensive than Obama’s veteran gun grab.
Authored by notorious anti-gun Democrat Poncho Nevarez, HB 545 would prohibit the sale or transfer of a firearm to certain persons under the guise of “mental health.”
HB 545 bypasses clinical analysis and relies solely on the interpretation of a judge to strip Texans of their right to bear arms — even if they’re not a threat to themselves or others.
But that’s not all.
HB 545 is so bad that it completely ignores the degree or extent of a person’s illness or disability — and would treat non-violent Texans allegedly suffering from mental illness as if they were a violent criminal.
HB 545 also infringes upon the rights of veterans who simply need help with their financial affairs but are otherwise able to live without assistance.
Sadly, HB 545 recently sailed through the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee and is now scheduled for a vote by the full Texas House of Representatives as early as TOMORROW.
To make matters worse, rumors flying around the capitol suggest that the deadly “Red Flag” gun confiscation bill could be attached to HB 545 as an amendment.
Like “Red Flag” gun confiscation orders, HB 545 already infringes upon law-abiding Texans of their right to bear arms without a crime even being committed.
In short, HB 545 is a due process-shredding bill that could get a lot worse.
With HB 545 moving through the Texas House, it appears gun control is receiving Speaker Dennis Bonnen’s blessing.
And the prospect of letting a gun control bill authored by an anti-gun Democrat come to the floor of the Texas House is disturbing.
Like always, we are going to fight this gun grab tooth and nail — but I need your immediate help to stop HB 545 before it’s too late!
So please call your State Representative at (512) 463-4630 and urge them to vote AGAINST HB 545 TODAY.
After publicly opposing Constitutional Carry legislation, Speaker Bonnen appears poised to do everything in his power to pass gun control in the waning hours of the Texas legislative session.
