TXGR Bonnen Killing CC

Is Dennis Bonnen trying to kill Constitutional Carry?

Is Dennis Bonnen trying to kill Constitutional Carry?

March 18, 2019,

I’ll get straight to the point.

I was in Austin last week when I learned some troubling news regarding Constitutional Carry (HB 357).

Speaker Dennis Bonnen is blocking Constitutional Carry.

With the Texas legislative session nearly half over, it’s critical that HB 357 advances to the House floor for a vote as soon as possible!

Please call Speaker Bonnen at (512) 463-1000 and urge him to advance Constitutional Carry HB 357 to the House floor for a vote!

Your message can be as simple as:

“Please stop blocking HB 357 and advance it to the House floor for a vote. Texas Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions.”

The clock is ticking.

We only have until April 3 to advance this bill out of committee before we start running up against legislative deadlines.

And House Leadership would love nothing more than to let Constitutional Carry expire without any type of vote.

With budget discussions on the horizon in the Texas Legislature, we expect this to be used as yet another excuse to delay a hearing or vote for Constitutional Carry.

As it stands, a hearing still has NOT even been scheduled for Constitutional Carry, let alone a vote.

Speaker Bonnen needs to know that the fate of Constitutional Carry rests squarely on his shoulders.

Until the bill passes out of the House of Representatives, he is solely responsible for the fate of Constitutional Carry in Texas.

So please call Speaker Bonnen and sign your Constitutional Carry petition to your elected officials TODAY.

After that, I hope you will also consider making your most generous contribution to TXGR so I can continue fighting for Constitutional Carry in Texas!
