Kentucky Congressman Subpoenaed Biden Regime and ATF for Allegedly Colluding with Gun Control Lobby

October 15th, 2024

Earlier this month, the House Oversight Committee issued subpoenas to the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and the ATF. The subpoenas seek to uncover the alleged collusion between the Biden regime and gun control organizations regarding the notable lawsuit City of Chicago v. Glock

In this case, the City of Chicago filed a lawsuit against handgun manufacturer Glock on March 19, 2024. The lawsuit asserts that Glock should be held liable for the ease with which a “Glock switch” can be used to convert their semi-automatic handguns into fully automatic weapons. The City of Chicago teamed up with leading civil disarmament organization Everytown for Gun Safety to file the lawsuit against Glock.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) is leading the charge in trying to uncover the Biden regime’s machinations with the gun control lobby. The Committee’s investigation largely deals with assertions that the Biden regime pushed Glock to change its pistols in order to make it more difficult for individuals to make illegal modifications, for example, auto sears that transform handguns into fully automatic weapons.

The House Oversight Committee is particularly focusing on a secret meeting in December 2023 between the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and Glock officials, where the nature of these modifications was discussed. Comer argued that these actions constitute potential ethical violations, including collusion between the Biden regime and groups in favor of civilian disarmament.

One of the boldest claims that the Committee made was how John Feinblatt, President of Everytown for Gun Safety, allegedly possessed “insider knowledge” of the talks between Glock officials and the White House. The Committee called attention to Feinblatt’s social media post after the lawsuit was filed. The Committee was alarmed by this development and issued the subpoenas in order to discover how deep the collaboration was between the Biden regime and gun control organizations.

Rep. Comer’s letters to White House Office Director Stefanie Feldman and ATF Director Steven Dettelbach underscore the Committee’s concerns with the Biden regime’s failure to fulfill earlier requests to present documents. The Committee initially requested these records in June 2024, which includes correspondence between the White House, the ATF, and gun control organizations such as Everytown for Gun Safety concerning topics like “auto sear” devices and illegal modifications of Glock handguns.

Thus far, the White House and the ATF have refused to provide the correspondence the Committee has requested. Rep. Comer’s subpoenas demand they provide all relevant documents from September 2023 up until the present. As the probe proceeds, the release of the documents in question is expected to reveal whether the Biden regime acted in tandem with pro-gun control organizations to attack gun rights.

The Biden regime knows that it has few options for implementing gun control outside of executive orders and other abuses of executive action, so they’re turning to outright collusion with nonprofit and private sector actors to implement an agenda. This behavior just shows the links that Biden will go to undermine the Second Amendment. It also demonstrates the need for gun rights activists to be constantly on guard.

Gun grabbers aren’t always going to operate publicly when it comes to pushing their anti-gun measures. The pro-gun community must be ready to confront the gun controller’s surreptitious actions by constantly keeping up with their actions and being prepared to launch thorough investigations into their underhanded maneuvers.

When the gun control crowd is willing to work day in and day out to realize their anti-2A vision, the gun rights community must be just as dedicated and willing to go the extra mile in their activism.
