Their strategy for 2026 is crystal clear: run unapologetic gun-ban extremists at every level of the ballot — from U.S. Senate to county judge — and hope Texas voters are too busy, too tired, or too distracted to see the ambush coming.
Nowhere is this more obvious than in Tarrant County, the last major “red” metro county in America, which is anchored by Fort Worth. And that’s exactly why the Democrats have declared war on it.
Two Democrats — Alisa Simmons and Congressman Marc Veasey — are now vying to oust pro-gun Republican incumbent County Judge Tim O’Hare.
But don’t be fooled by their polished campaign websites or vague talk about “equity” or “public safety.” Both Simmons and Veasey come pre-packaged with something far more dangerous:
A documented history of supporting anti-gun policies — and endorsements from the national Gun Confiscation Lobby.
These aren’t moderates. These aren’t centrists. And they sure as hell aren’t people anyone who cares about the Second Amendment should trust.
Meet the Gun-Ban Candidates Trying to Flip Tarrant County
ALISA SIMMONS — ENDORSED BY BLOOMBERG’S GUN-CONTROL EMPIRE
When Simmons ran against pro-gun champion Tony Tinderholt in 2020, she was endorsed by Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action — the crown jewels of Michael Bloomberg’s gun-control apparatus.
You don’t get those endorsements unless you support:
- Gun bans
- Government gun registries
- “Red flag” gun-confiscation schemes
- Criminalizing private firearm transfers
- The destruction of Texas’s constitutional carry laws
A politician endorsed by Everytown is no “moderate.”
It means you’ve signed onto the Bloomberg agenda — the complete disarmament of ordinary Texans.
MARC VEASEY — A RELIABLE VOTE FOR THE D.C. GUN-CONTROL LOBBY
Marc Veasey built his congressional career voting for federal gun-control packages, earning 100% ratings and endorsements from Brady and Newtown Action Alliance.
Veasey wasn’t just voting for this stuff — he was literally serving as Deputy Whip of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, the group pushing red-flag confiscation and expanded national gun registries.
Veasey is the kind of politician Bloomberg applauds, Soros bankrolls, and the ATF dreams about.
And now he wants to run Tarrant County.
The Democrats’ 2026 Blueprint: Flood Texas With Cash, Push Gun-Ban Radicals, Flip Tarrant County
The anti-gun Left isn’t even hiding its playbook.
Step 1: Run radicals like Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico at the top of the ballot.
Step 2: Pour tens of millions of dollars into Texas from George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, and their labyrinth of PACs and nonprofits.
Step 3: Exploit straight-ticket voting, where Democrats — especially urban voters — are vastly more likely to punch a single button for the entire blue slate. When that happens, down-ballot races like county judge flip without voters knowing anything about the candidates.
And Tarrant County is target number one.
If they can break the last red stronghold among major metro counties, they believe they can break Texas next.
The Stakes Could Not Be Higher
A county judge in Texas isn’t just some ceremonial figurehead.
Do you want Tarrant County run by someone endorsed by Everytown?
Do you want a former Gun Violence Prevention Task Force whip signing your emergency orders?
Do you want your sheriff’s budget determined by politicians who believe you shouldn’t own an AR-15?
The Left is hoping you won’t notice until it’s too late.
But most voters are paying attention to the U.S. Senate race or the presidential cycle, Democrats are quietly assembling a slate of anti-gun candidates for every level of office — hoping straight-ticket voting and national money can do the rest.
Tarrant County is the crown jewel. If they flip it, the Left will celebrate it as the first domino falling in their dream of turning Texas into California.
Gun owners can’t let that happen. Not in 2026. Not ever. Help Texas Gun Rights fight back by chipping in below.
