During an interview with the New York Times, discussing the crushing defeat of Democratic Party candidates across the country on November 5th, Nancy Pelosi specifically credited gun rights as one of the “cultural issues” that contributed to President Donald Trump’s victory.
The 84-year-old far-left Congresswoman was explicitly questioned as to why the Republican Party performed so much better with individuals earning under $100,000 per year in the 2024 election. Naturally, Pelosi avoided accountability for the disastrous economic effects of left-wing policy by pivoting to cultural issues, which she indicates played a significant “part” in the election results. “Guns, God, and gays,” are the simplified three G’s that the San Francisco native says solidified Trump’s win among lower- and middle-class voters.
“Guns, that’s an issue. Gays, that’s an issue; now they’re making the trans issue such an important issue and a priority. And, in certain communities, what they call God, we call a woman’s right to choose.”
For once in her life, Nancy Pelosi is correct. Gun owners successfully turned out in droves to stop the gun-grabbing radical left in their tracks, preventing further infringements upon their God-given, Second Amendment rights. The American people overwhelmingly rejected the tyrannical tendencies of anti-gun politicians, who for years have violated the Law of the Land by placing authoritarian restrictions on gun ownership. Recognition of this reality, especially from such a powerful and longstanding enemy to gun rights as Nancy Pelosi, is in and of itself an astounding victory for firearm enthusiasts nationwide.
President Trump’s decisive victory came as a surprise for many radical leftists, some of whom still can’t accept its reality. After all, Kamala Harris pragmatically toned down her anti-gun rhetoric throughout her entire campaign. She repeatedly insisted to voters that “no one is coming for their guns,” and even admitted to being a gun owner herself, saying that she’d stand her ground against anyone who broke into her home. Tim Walz, her running mate, frequently hunts in the Minnesota wild and posts pictures of himself with dead quail on social media. How could these measures have failed to appeal to gun owners and stop them from delivering a Donald Trump victory?
Well, it turns out that gun owners are far more intelligent than the Democrat’s propaganda apparatuses believed. Apparently, when you follow the phrase “we’re not coming for your guns,” immediately with “but we need an assault weapons ban,” gun owners aren’t fooled. Nor are they fooled by a Governor who signed every anti-gun bill that landed on his desk just because he puts on a camo outfit for photoshoots. Patriots who value their constitutional rights could see right through the phony “moderate” facade that Kamala Harris tried to incorporate.
The Vice President simply couldn’t run away from her record, which firmly established her as the most anti-gun presidential candidate in American history. Democrats could gain from this experience by receiving the message that Americans value their right to self-defense and will ardently oppose all totalitarian demagogues who try to take it from them. Unfortunately, for them, Democrats consistently fail to learn from their mistakes and will likely resort to further attacking gun owners while blaming the ever-present “gun lobby” that they so superstitiously fear.
