The 2024 General Election results are in, and they show that voters across the Lone Star State, as well as the United States as a whole, delivered decisive and long-overdue victories for Constitutional liberties and the 2nd Amendment at every level of government.

Following 4 years of managed, deliberate national decline and an influx of tyrannical infringements upon God-given rights of every kind, the American people delivered a referendum on the abysmal, far left leadership of the federal government. Former President Donald J. Trump historically defeated California Marxist and serial gun-grabber Kamala Harris by unprecedented margins, sweeping all seven swing states and leading by nearly 5 million in the popular vote. His 312-226 Electoral College victory makes him only the second president in American history to receive two non-contiguous terms as president, following in the footsteps of Grover Cleveland.

Here in Texas, President Trump more than doubled his 2020 margin of victory, defeating Harris by nearly 14 points juxtaposed to his victory over Joe Biden by just under 6 points. Similarly, incumbent Texas Senator Ted Cruz defeated his challenger, liberal Representative Colin Allred, by just under 9 points, a huge shift compared to his 2018 victory over Beto O’Rourke by only 2.56 points. Overall, Texas dramatically veered to the right, crushing the Democratic Party’s hopes at a blue Texas in the near future.

The same story can be seen across the United States, with nearly every county shifting to the right by considerable margins. Republicans have picked up three additional Senate seats, with both the Rust and Sun Belt races still too close to call at the time of this writing. With a Republican gain in the House of Representatives a near certainty, all indicators point to a red trifecta in the federal government, granting the opportunity for massive expansions of gun rights and the prevention of further authoritarian infringements at the federal level

Conservative, constitutionally minded candidates received notable victories at the state level as well. Riding President Trump’s legendary coattails, Republicans flipped two additional seats in the Texas State House, including one held by far-leftist Tracy King, who once proposed a so-called “assault weapons” ban in the legislature. Potential pro-gun victories are further ripened by the flipping of State Senate District 27, with Adam Hinejosa triumphing over Democrat incumbent Morgan LaMantia. The political landscape in South Texas is quickly maneuvering in a positive direction, and much work will be needed to maintain the gains made.

Overall, the accomplishments of 2024 cannot be understated, and celebration is due on a widespread scale. Constitutional liberties have been under attack like never before, and the threats of a Kamala Harris Administration would have been disastrous for the God-given rights of all Americans. As has been extensively reported here at Texas Gun Rights, Kamala Harris was, by far, the most anti-2nd Amendment presidential candidate in American history. Thanks to real American patriots across the nation, however, we needn’t worry any longer about her ascension to power, for now.
