Texas Gun Rights (TXGR) is pulling out all the stops for gun owners across the Lone Star State with Texas Gun Owner Lobby Days (Texas G.O.L.D.) during the 89th Texas Legislative session. This free, grassroots initiative, powered by Patriot Mobile, is designed to empower Texans to make their voices heard in Austin by fighting gun control and advancing pro-gun legislation.
Even better, TXGR is providing FREE charter buses to bring activists from across the state to the Capitol to visit lawmakers’ offices and testify on critical firearms-related bills. Participants will stand united to oppose anti-gun measures and push for stronger Second Amendment protections.
About Texas G.O.L.D.
Texas Gun Rights, the state affiliate of the National Association for Gun Rights, has joined forces with True Texas Project (TTP) and Gun Owners of America (GOA) for Gun Owner Lobby Days in 2025. True Texas Project leaders will serve as bus captains, coordinating activists during each trip.
Each lobby day will feature a full schedule of activism, starting with guidance from TXGR President Chris McNutt and GOA Texas State Director Leigh Gibson. Activists will be briefed on which bills to support or oppose, including critical legislation to block gun control measures like Red Flag laws and rein in dangerous “gun free” zones. Fran Rhodes of TTP will also be discussing important legislation that is NOT firearms related (killing two birds with one stone!)
Lunch and a free T-shirt are included for all participants, provided generously by GOA Texas.
Other groups like Women for Gun Rights will also be joining in the efforts, further amplifying the pro-gun message at the Capitol. But ALL pro-gun patriots are invited to join these critical days of activism. Whether you’re a seasoned activist or new to the fight, Texas Gun Rights guarantees that your participation will make a difference.
So mark your calendar, sign up for a bus near you, and help send a strong message to Austin: Texans will not back down when it comes to defending the Second Amendment!

A History of Texas G.O.L.D.
Texas G.O.L.D. was originally launched by GOA in 2017 to rally activists in defense of the Second Amendment. This year, TXGR is expanding upon the initiative to five dedicated days of activism, ensuring gun owners have ample opportunities to engage with lawmakers and shape gun policy in Texas.
With the help of Patriot Mobile, the event’s generous sponsor, TXGR is working to maximize participation and impact by coordinating with like-minded groups. “Grassroots activism is the backbone of the Second Amendment fight,” said TXGR President Chris McNutt. “Gun Owner Lobby Days are a chance for every Texan to stand up for their rights and demand that lawmakers listen to the people, but it is critical we work together for a unified message.”
